Alexandra-Paraskevi Chytiri is an Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management and Tourism at the Department of Tourism Studies, University of Piraeus.

She has worked and taught (as an Assistant Professor, Lecturer, Visiting Professor, or Collaborating Faculty Member) at institutions such as the University of De Montfort (UK), University of Kent (UK), International Hellenic University, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), Hellenic Open University, University of Patras, Neapolis University of Cyprus, and IST College (programs of London Southbank University and the Catholic University of Lyon). Her teaching experience spans undergraduate and postgraduate programs, executive education, and distance learning courses.

She holds a PhD in Human Resource Management from the Athens University of Economics and Business, a Master’s degree in General Management and Human Resource Management (with research) from the University of Kent, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus. She has also conducted postdoctoral research at AUEB.

She has supervised theses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels and has been trained in research methodology at the University of Kent, the British Academy of Management, and AUEB. She holds a Certificate in Research Supervision and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCertLTHE). She has participated in numerous conferences and seminars worldwide.

Her research interests include Human Resource Management, Organizational Performance, the relationship between HRM practices and Organizational Performance, Employee Performance, HRM during crisis periods, HRM in the Hospitality and Tourism industry, emerging trends in HRM and practices, Workforce Skills, Work Environment, Employee Well-being and Satisfaction, Work-Life Balance, Recruitment and Selection, and Training and Development.

She has participated in several funded research projects in Greece and abroad.

Her articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, honorary volumes, and global newspapers and magazines.

She has also contributed chapters to books in the fields of HRM and Management.

Alexandra-Paraskevi is an editor for journals such as the International Journal of Human Resource Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Organizational and Innovation Studies, and Sustainability Journal.

She also serves as a reviewer for the annual conferences of the British and American Academy of Management, the European Academy of Management Conference, and The International Human Resource Management Conference.

She is a member of the National Skills Committee and has served on the Evaluation Committee of the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP).

Additionally, she has coordinated the Erasmus+ program for the Department of Tourism Studies at the University of Piraeus.
