Dr. Dimitrios Manolopoulos is an Associate Professor in the Department of Organization and Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).

He holds a degree from the Department of Public Administration at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in International and European Economic Studies (AUEB), and a Ph.D. from the University of Reading, UK.

His research interests focus primarily on International Management, the Strategy of Multinational Enterprises, and the Organization and Management of Corporate Resources. His work has been published in reputable international academic journals, including the Journal of Business Ethics, International Business Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of International Management, Management International Review, and others.

His article, “An Evaluation of Employee Motivation in the Extended Public Sector of Greece”, published in Employee Relations, was selected by Emerald Publishing as one of the best studies in human resource management in 2008.

Dr. Manolopoulos has authored a book on the challenges faced by internationalized enterprises in the 21st century and a monograph on the ecosystem of Foreign Direct Investment in Greece.

He has presented more than 50 papers at leading international conferences, and six of his articles have been included in collective volumes and books. His published work has received significant international citations.

Before joining academia, he worked at Planet Ernst & Young S.A. as a business consultant, participating in numerous research and consulting projects for major private and public organizations in Greece and abroad. He also served for six years in strategic planning roles at the Public Power Corporation of Greece.

Dr. Manolopoulos has conducted seminars on corporate strategy, business management and organization, and human resource management.
