Maria Mavri is a Professor of Quantitative Methods at the Department of Business Administration at the University of the Aegean.

She has been a member of the University of the Aegean’s Governing Council since August 1, 2023, and Vice President of the Regional Council for Research and Innovation (RCRI) of the Northern Aegean Region.

Professor Mavri is the Director of the Postgraduate Program “Executive MBA” and the Quantitative Methods Laboratory (QMLab) in the Department of Business Administration at the University of the Aegean.

Additionally, she is the coordinator of the thematic unit “Research Methodology in Public Administration – DMD50” in the postgraduate program “Public Administration and E-Governance” at the Hellenic Open University.

Professor Mavri served as Vice-Rector of Research & Lifelong Learning and Chair of the Research Committee and ELKE at the University of the Aegean from September 1, 2018, to June 29, 2022.

From 2016 to 2022, she was the Institutional Coordinator of the Project “Internship Program for Higher Education at the University of the Aegean.”

She holds a degree in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Master’s degree in Decision Sciences from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), and a Ph.D. in Operational Research from AUEB.

Professor Mavri was a member of the Coordination Committee for HE Innovate (2019-2021), a project implemented by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs in collaboration with the European Commission (DG for Education, Youth, Sport, and Culture) and the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SME, Cities, and Regions. She also served as a member of the Technology Transfer Office of the European CERN Organization (2018-2021).

From 2005 to 2008, she worked at the Observatory for the Information Society, and from 2008 to 2010, she was a technical advisor for the “Operational Program for Digital Convergence.”

Her research interests include operational research, additive manufacturing (3D Printing), and information and communication technologies (ICT).

She has participated in 30 research projects and, in the last two years, has been the scientific coordinator for EU-funded projects focusing on the use of 3D Printing technology in physical sciences, culture, and education.
