Spyros Misiakoulis studied economics (Econometrics) in Greece and the United Kingdom.

He holds a degree in Economics, a diploma in Economic and Social Statistics, a master’s degree in Quantitative Social Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Finance and Statistics.

His professional experience, which began in 1979, spans a wide array of fields. Notably, he has successfully worked in Higher Education, Air Transportation, Food Industry, Banking and Investments, Tourism, and Pharmaceuticals.

His research focuses on applying quantitative methods to:

  • Detect financial fraud,
  • Evaluate corporate governance,
  • Assess corporate social responsibility,
  • Estimate delisting from capital markets,
  • Perform econometric analysis of qualitative data,
  • Explore Aristotelian econometrics, and
  • Investigate the philosophy of mathematics.

He has published numerous scientific papers and studies in reputable international academic journals.
