Panos Chountalas is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Organization and Management at the University of Piraeus.

He holds a Ph.D., a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus.

He teaches courses in Business Management, Production Management, Business Process Management, Quality Management Systems, and Business Plans in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the University of Piraeus, the Hellenic Open University, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the University of Thessaly.

His academic work has been published in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals (Business Process Management Journal, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, Energy and Environment, etc.) and has received significant citations (>500).

He has extensive consulting experience with private and public sector organizations and has participated in the coordination and management of numerous international research programs (EQUAL, INTERREG, ERASMUS+, etc.).

In the recent past, he engaged in entrepreneurial activity, founding an innovative startup in the field of electronic publishing.

His current research interests include Business Process Management, Quality Management Systems, Production/Operations Management, Total Quality Management, Risk Management, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation.
