Vasileios Zisis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Piraeus.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting and Financial Management from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) in 1996.
He holds a master’s degree (M.A.) and a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University.
Vasileios Zisis has taught at Lancaster University, the Athens University of Economics and Business, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the University of Piraeus. His teaching experience spans undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Since 1998, he has taught accounting-related courses, starting as a teaching assistant (tutorials) and later, after completing his Ph.D., as a lecturer (part-time or full-time).
He has also worked in the finance department of a corporation and participated in various EU-funded research projects focusing on accounting or financial research topics.
His teaching portfolio includes courses in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting & Costing, Accounting Information Systems, and Auditing & Internal Control.
His research interests include financial statement analysis, business valuation, earnings management, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the use of accounting figures in decision-making.
