Tuition Fee Waiver for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

Please review the relevant ministerial decisions, collect, and submit your application along with the necessary documentation for a tuition fee waiver between Monday, October 14, 2024, and Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Interested applicants must submit their application and supporting documents via the UoA’s electronic protocol system at https://eprotocol.uoa.gr/ to the Secretariat of the Department of Business Administration and Organizations.

You will then receive a protocol number for your application, which will be reviewed by the Program Committee.

Applications will only be accepted between Monday, October 14, 2024, and Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.

We inform you that following the publication of ministerial decision no. 108990/Z1/8-9-2022 (Government Gazette 4899/B/16-9-2022) concerning “Regulations for free tuition in Postgraduate Programs with tuition fees,” eligibility is determined for those who meet the following conditions:

Excellence in the first cycle of studies: Holding a degree/diploma grade equal to or higher than 7.5 (out of 10).

Taxable income:

For the 2024-2025 academic year, the national median equivalent disposable income is set at €10,050.00 for individual taxable income (100% of the national median income) and €7,035.00 for family taxable income (70% of the national median income), according to data published on April 3, 2024, by ELSTAT, based on ministerial decision no. 41714/Z1 (Government Gazette 2515/26.04.2024/19.04.2024).

1a) The average of the total taxable income of all family members, or the applicant’s income, their parents’, and siblings’ (under 26 years old if unmarried), is calculated based on the last two fiscal years.

1b) For applicants over 26 years old, the average of the applicant’s individual taxable income over the last two fiscal years is calculated.

1c) For married applicants, the average income of the applicant and their spouse/partner over the last two fiscal years is calculated.

2. If the applicant is under 26 and is from a large family, a single-parent family, or has a disability, or is a member of a household with a disabled individual, they may apply for a 50% fee waiver, provided the average income falls within the respective amount of the national median disposable income.

Required Documents for Tuition Fee Waiver

  • Completed application (serves as a sworn declaration).
  • Sworn declaration stating no other scholarships are received.
  • Photocopies of E1 tax declarations and tax clearance statements for the last two years for all family members (parents and siblings under 26 if unmarried). If parents are divorced, submit the E1 and clearance of the parent with whom the applicant is registered as a dependent.
  • Family status certificate from the municipal registry.
  • For applicants or dependents with a disability rate of 67% or higher: medical certificate from the Disability Certification Center (KEPA).
  • Death certificate for deceased parents, if applicable.
  • Divorce decree for divorced parents, if applicable.
  • Degree transcript (if numeric grade is not listed, submit an official transcript).
  • In addition to the above, the Program Committee or Assembly reserves the right to request additional documents deemed necessary (per Article 4 of ministerial decision no. 108990/Z1/2022).

If tuition fees are waived, any amount already paid will be refunded upon request.

If the decision does not grant a tuition waiver, the applicant will be required to pay the tuition fees within a specified timeframe.
