Welcome Ceremony for New Executive MBA Students 2025–2026

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the Welcome Ceremony for the new postgraduate students of the Executive MBA Program of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) for the academic year 2025–2026 took place at the Vassilis and Marina Theocharakis Foundation Amphitheatre.
The event was opened by Professor Nikolaos Eriotis, Dean of the School of Economics and Political Sciences and Director of the Executive MBA Program, who warmly welcomed the new students.
In his address, he referred to the mission and vision of the Executive MBA, the academic excellence of NKUA, and the academic and professional development opportunities the program offers to its participants.
Following his remarks, Professor Dimitrios Thomakos, Chair of the Department of Business Administration and Organizations, delivered a greeting, highlighting the achievements of the Department, the School, and the University, as reflected in international university rankings.
Subsequently, Professor Dimitrios Vasiliou presented the structure of the Program, the curriculum, and the academic activities, providing practical information and clarifications regarding attendance, the use of eClass, and the opportunities for advancement offered through the Executive MBA.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion, during which students posed questions about the teaching methodology, the organization of studies, and the program’s learning activities. Faculty members provided detailed answers and guidance.
After the ceremony, students had the opportunity to meet and engage informally with faculty members and fellow participants in a friendly atmosphere at the Merlin Café of the Vassilis and Marina Theocharakis Foundation.
The ceremony marked the beginning of a demanding yet rewarding journey of personal and professional growth for all participants.
