Ο Ανδρέας Γεωργαντόπουλος είναι Διδάκτωρ Λογιστικής του Τμήματος Δημόσιας Διοίκησης του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου Κοινωνικών και Πολιτικών Επιστημών ενώ στο ίδιο Πανεπιστήμιο έχει διατελέσει και ως μεταδιδακτορικός ερευνητής.

Επίσης, είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου και πτυχίου του Τμήματος Λογιστικής και Χρηματοοικονομικής του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.

Ο Δρ. Ανδρέας Γεωργαντόπουλος έχει διδάξει Χρηματοοικονομική Διοίκηση, Ελληνικά Λογιστικά Πρότυπα και Λογιστική Επιχειρηματικών Κλάδων στο Τμήμα Δημόσιας Διοίκησης του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου, Διοικητική Λογιστική, Χρηματοοικονομική Λογιστική και Χρηματοοικονομική Πληροφόρηση στο Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών «ΜΒΑ» του Πανεπιστημίου Δυτικής Αττικής σε συνεργασία με το University of Kentucky, Παρουσίαση και Ανάλυση Λογιστικών Καταστάσεων στο Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών «Φιλοσοφία και Διοίκηση» του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, Τραπεζική Διοίκηση και Λογιστική και Χρηματοοικονομική για Στελέχη Επιχειρήσεων στα Μεταπτυχιακά Προγράμματα Σπουδών «Τραπεζική» και «ΜΒΑ» αντιστοίχως, του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου και Διεθνή Λογιστικά Πρότυπα σε Πρόγραμμα Επιμόρφωσης και Κατάρτισης Στελεχών του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου.

Επιπλέον, ο Δρ. Ανδρέας Γεωργαντόπουλος έχει εργαστεί ως Διευθυντής στο Μητροπολιτικό Κολλέγιο, ως στέλεχος κανονιστικής συμμόρφωσης στην Εμπορική Τράπεζα της Ελλάδος και ως Φορολογικός Σύμβουλος στην εταιρεία συμβούλων επιχειρήσεων KPMG.

Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται σε γνωστικά πεδία εταιρικής διακυβέρνησης, φοροαποφυγής και μερισματικής πολιτικής.
