Significant Distinctions for NKUA in the QS Quacquarelli Symonds Rankings

On April 6, 2022, the global team of higher education analysts at Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) published the University Rankings by Subject, showcasing performance in specific thematic and scientific fields.
The results of this year’s ranking were particularly encouraging for the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), which achieved high positions in all five major thematic areas and was evaluated in 15 specialized scientific fields—up from 14 fields in 2021, 13 in 2020, 12 in 2019, and 11 in 2018.
According to QS data, NKUA is represented across all five thematic areas in 2022, with notable improvement in the “Arts and Humanities” category, where it ranks 280th globally, a 90-place increase since 2017.
Moreover, significant distinctions were also achieved by the Departments of Business Administration and Economics, which jointly host the Executive MBA program.
According to the rankings, the Department of Business Administration and Organizations is listed among the top 500 programs worldwide in the “Business Administration Studies” thematic area for the third consecutive year. Additionally, the Department of Economics boasts two specialized fields—”Accounting and Finance” and “Economics and Econometrics”—ranking among the top 320 and 450 programs globally, respectively.
